244 Lengths, £900 Raised for The Magpie Centre at the Rotary Swimarathon

We were incredibly proud to take part in this year’s Rotary Swimarathon, swimming in support of The Magpie Centre — and we’re delighted to share that we raised an amazing £900 for this fantastic cause.

The challenge? One hour. Two teams. Ten swimmers. Nonstop relay.

We split into two teams of five, swimming relay-style for the full hour. Each swimmer completed one length at a time before tagging in the next teammate. It was fast-paced, energetic, and required real teamwork to keep the momentum going.

By the end of the hour, between both teams, we had completed an incredible 244 lengths.

There were definitely some tired arms by the finish, but the atmosphere poolside was brilliant. Teammates cheered each other on, transitions were sharp, and everyone gave their all knowing we were swimming for something bigger than ourselves.

Most importantly, thanks to the generosity of everyone who donated and supported us, we raised £900 for The Magpie Centre. The Centre provides vital support for children and families, and we’re so proud to contribute to the important work they do.

A huge thank you to:

  • Everyone who swam

  • Those who donated

  • Supporters who came along to cheer

  • Rotary for organising another fantastic Swimarathon event

Every length swum made a difference — and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community.

We’re already looking forward to next year! 🏊💛
