A Huge Win! RDA Volunteer of the Year Award

Celebrating Our Incredible Volunteer, Jan

We are beyond thrilled to share some truly wonderful news – Jan, one of our longstanding and much-loved volunteers here at The Magpie Centre, has been awarded the RDA Volunteer of the Year Award! 

Jan has been a dedicated part of the Magpie Centre family for many years, generously giving her time, energy, and heart to support our riders, maintain the Centre, and help with events. From assisting with lessons to baking delicious cakes for Tea with a Pony, her contributions are felt in every corner of what we do.

Here’s what Jan had to say about receiving the award:

“I am surprised and delighted to receive this award. Over the years, I have seen the difference the RDA makes to the lives of the clients.
To see their confidence grow and the joy they feel at their achievement, whatever level that may be, enriches the lives of all those involved.
Whether volunteering with lessons, maintaining the Centre, helping with fundraising events, or making cakes for Tea with a Pony, all us volunteers are happy to be there to ensure this continues.”

Jan’s warmth, commitment, and passion truly embody the spirit of the RDA. Her award is a testament not only to her personal efforts, but to the incredible community of volunteers who help make the Magpie Centre such a special place.
