For two mornings this week, our dedicated volunteers took part in focused training sessions at The Magpie Centre to refresh key skills and stay updated on essential information.
We began with a reminder about our safeguarding procedures and zero-tolerance policy—important parts of maintaining a safe, supportive environment for everyone at the Centre.
The sessions also included practical updates on the day-to-day tasks our volunteers help with, such as putting on saddles, adjusting stirrups, using adapted equipment, side walking, and more. It was a great opportunity to revisit best practices and ask questions.
These short but valuable sessions help us all feel more confident and connected as a team. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and who continue to give their time to support our riders and horses—you’re the heart of what we do.
