Our vital work would not be possible without the continued help of the Magpie Centre’s many friends and supporters.
It costs around £200,000 a year to keep the Magpie Centre running, and much of this money comes from donations made by members of the public and local businesses. By giving a monthly donation, however small, you can become a Friend of the Magpie Centre and help us to continue providing our services to people living with disabilities.

Other ways to help
Add Your Name to Our Friends of Magpie Centre Arch
You can show your support by adding your name to the Friends of Magpie Centre Arch which will show everyone who visits the centre, the friends who supported us through these unprecedented times. There will be horseshoes on the archways with plaques attached. Each plaque, for a minimum of £10 donation, will have the donor’s name engraved on it.
Sponsor a Pony
Sponsoring one of our ponies makes a wonderful alternative gift or birthday present! A number of the Magpie Centre’s horses and ponies are available to sponsor from just £15 per year.
Purchase something from our Amazon Wish List
By purchasing a gift from our Amazon Wishlist you will be directly helping us in a very practical way. Plus Amazon will make it easy by delivering your gift directly to the centre.
The list includes things such as horse feed, lead ropes, rugs and even mane conditioner! You can be sure that, whatever you choose, it will be put to very good use.
Leaving a legacy
We are extremely grateful to all those who have chosen to include the Magpie Centre in their wills or made us a bequest over the years.
Leaving a legacy gift is a simple way of supporting a much loved charity after you have gone. If you are interested in including us in your will please get in touch. We recommend that you seek independent legal advice before writing or updating your will.
Hold a Collection / Sponsorship
Why not consider holding a collection for the Magpie Centre at an event or special occasion. Alternatively if you are considering taking part in a challenge event (such as a half marathon or sponsored swim) you could fundraise for the Magpie Centre.
Pony Club Badges
The Pony Club and the RDA have come together to create the RDA Volunteer Achievement Badge for Pony Club riders aged 12 or over. Taking the badge is a wonderful way to support the RDA as well as being a lot of fun! For more information visit the Pony Club website.
